Winterburg to Welcome Mountainboard Park

Posted on Sunday, December 28, 2008 in News

mountainboardAlthough there does exist a certain fascination with riding the raw untouched mountain slopes, mountainboard parks and mountainboard centers have definitely become a welcome gift to riders. New parks keep popping out all over the world as the sport of mountainboarding continues to explode.

Winterburg Park in Germany is having it’s grand opening this weekend, the 19th and 20th of July. This is a beautiful mounainboard park that was approved by MBS Europe. The park includes a freestyle park and a boardercross that stretches over 1000 meters and the two lifts keep riders riding and not hiking.

Our “Where to Ride” map has been updated with the location of Winterburg Park.

For more details on the park check out www.rockon.de, unless you can read German, you’ll need to translate it using one of the many free online translators, like Google Translator.

Belgium Big Air Mountainboard Event

Posted on Sunday, December 28, 2008 in News

This week is pretty quiet as it appears but the next couple of weeks are packed with events and other news so stay tuned for those. For this week the only thing we could find was a Big Air competition in Belgium. The event takes place at Wanyi Park on July 12th and 13th. You can find more information at www.mountainboard.be.

If you are able to attend the event, please share your experience with us via email or in the comments box below. Also, for entertainment purposes only, I have provided a youtube video of a rider attempting a 720 melon at Wanyi Park.
